Position

KX DESIGN STUDIO has an immediate opening in our design team for a designer with Landscape Architect experience.

Primary Duties:

• Work with our team in a supportive role producing drawings, conducting project research, and construction documentation.

• Provide CAD assistance for in-house landscape design projects and greening projects.

• Provide design assistance for projects.

• Develop and process Design Service Proposals for projects.

• Project coordination with design managers, engineers, and architecture projects.

• Project coordination with school principals, teachers, non-profit groups, and parent groups for projects and greening projects.

• Project coordination with task order architects, landscape architects, and engineers for projects.

• Organize and maintain all project documents and pictures in project folders.

• Provide technical and project support using project tracking database.

• Pre-design site visits for projects.

• Construction inspection site visits for projects.

• Deliver project documents to field supervisors.

• Assist in grant applications.

• Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Completion of accredited Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture

• 3-5 years of professional experience

• At least 2 years experience working on landscape projects/architecture projects.

• Experience in all phases of design (Schematic Design through Construction Administration)

• Experience with built projects or projects currently under construction

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)

• Experience with producing architectural or landscape construction documents

• Knowledge of construction drawing standards, building codes, and accessibility requirements

• The ability to develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to projects

• The ability to communicate clear project narratives and conceptual ideas to both internal and external stakeholders

• The ability to develop design options in collaboration with design teams and to take initiative in response to direction from Project Leadership

• Proficiency in Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape and Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)

• Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage one’s own time

Salary: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
